Neighbourhood Plan Referendum - Thursday 19th September 2019

The Huntingdon Neighbourhood Plan referendum has been scheduled for Thursday 19th September 2019.

Voters will be asked the question "do you want Huntingdonshire District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Huntingdon to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?" If the plan receives a majority of yes votes, it will become a part of Huntingdonshire's development plan.

Towns that have a 'made' neighbourhood plan also receive an increased percentage of CIL money (the levy charged on new developments in the area) to be spent on providing/improving infrastructure in the area.

The deadline to register to vote in this referendum is Tuesday 3 September 2019.
