EVERY Wednesday in August, 11.30am – 1pm, £2 per child

A great summer holiday activity for families! Drop into the Museum and take part in a different craft activity each week to take away with a 17th century theme to it. Make your own replica of Cromwell's hat, design your own Civil War flag or make a sweet smelling pomander! No need to book, just come on the day.

Summer Children's Multi Sport Camp at Hinchingbrooke Country Park

Book a fun and active day for your child in Summer! U-Sports is working in conjunction with Hinchingbrooke Country Park to organise Multi-Sport camps which will give boys and girls the opportunity to try a variety of sports and play activities in a safe and supervised environment. Loads of different activities in offer.

Children of ages 5 to 11 years can attend. Activities take place outdoors so can be subject to weather.

BOOKING

Alternatively you can register your interest via the email below and cash payment can be made in full upon arrival on the day.

Huntingdon Carnival and Live in the Park Festival Weekend

Saturday 11 August 12 noon – 5pm
Sunday 12 August 12 noon – 7pm

Back for its third year, Huntingdon Carnival will be in the Riverside Park with a bigger and better Festival Weekend than before!

The Carnival Procession starts at the Market Square at 12 noon headed by the Caledonian Pipes and Drums followed by the Carnival Queen and her court in a fairy tale 'pumpkin' coach drawn by Shire horses. Local groups in the procession include Urban Dance Studio, TAG Bikes, local majorettes, local care homes, international community groups, colourful characters and many more with the theme, "That's Entertainment".

The parade ends in the Riverside Park arena with prize giving for 'Best in Parade', awarded by the Mayor of Huntingdon. There will be fairground rides, craft, community and charity stalls, licensed bar and refreshments plus a Viking encampment!

Arena entertainment includes an open dog show and agility course facilitated by Cromwell Vets practice. 'Live in the Park' on Sunday will feature local bands and solo artists on stage including Almost ABBA, SKA-DUST, Junkyard Peachers, Travis Graham, The Sidekicks, Solomon Smith and 4th LABYRINTH.

And it's FREE entry!

Emergency Services Day at Hinchingbrooke Country Park

Great day out for the family. Free of charge. We have police, fire dog demonstrations; fire engines, police cars, live music entertainment.

Cromwell Vets are back with their enter-your-own-dog competitions, dog scurry, Advice stand for First Aid for pets.

Stalls, children's activities and fairground rides, trails, dog grooming station, face painting.

Afternoon tea served in the Countryside Centre www.ticketsource.co.uk/hcp to reserve your slot; ice cream factory; hot & cold food, drinks and ice cream from the cafe.

Coneygear Park Summer Gala

Coneygear Park Summer Gala

The Coneygear Park Summer Gala is back! This year, you'll see the petting zoo, inflatables, stalls, face-painting and demo's. They'll be an activity zone which the Medway Christian Fellowship are organising, where young people will enjoy lots of craft activities free of charge. HCRfm will be present playing our favourite tunes. The Snack Shack will also be open and selling pic-nic bags for £1, hot dogs, burgers, tea/coffee/cold drinks and lots more. An event not to be missed!

The event will run from 11am - 3pm.
