 In 1981 a second Twinning Charter was signed, making a three way link with Wertheim am Main on the Bavarian border in Germany, which was already twinned with Salon. This is also an idyllic spot nestling in the Spessart Hills at the junction of the Main and Tauber Rivers. The town is overlooked by one of the oldest surviving castles in the country.
