* Huntingdon Town Park *

Huntingdon’s Town Park can be viewed by motorists using the ring road on the right when approaching Sainsbury’s. Only a short walk from the town centre via Grammar School Walk or Ambury Road South from the High Street, the park is well worth visiting during the summer months. Owned & maintained by Huntingdon Town Council, this beautiful park shelters a number of attractions within the shade of its array of mature trees and shrubbery. A small maze, “fairy ring” and bandstand are all facilities complimenting the opportunity to sit on grassed areas or benches on fine weather days and watch the world go by.

Used as the starting point for the Huntingdon 800 Grand Parade on 6th August, the Park has been used by a number of organisations for events and activities this year, including The Rotary Club of Huntingdon, Hinchingbrooke’s “Teas in the Trees” event .

Last year the One Act Road Show Theatre Company staged an afternoon performance of “Twelfth Night”. An appreciative audience saw the Shakespearean comedy from their picnic rugs and park seating whilst basking in the June sunshine. Huntingdon Youth Town Council attracted a good number of young people to their Summer Fair last year, too.

If your group is interested in hosting an event in the park, please contact the Huntingdon Town Council on 01480 388683 or e-mail town.council@huntingdontown.gov.uk.
